| This event, held on Wednesday 25 February 2009, celebrated both reflective practice and the links between PEEP (and PEEP-trained practitioners) and Oxford Brookes University. Certificates were presented to the most recent PEEP accreditation students by Rosemary Peacocke OBE.
Four PEEP practitioners then gave fascinating and insightful presentations, based on their accreditation assignments, followed by a panel-led discussion with the audience. All four presentations illustrated the imaginative ways that the pracatitioners had used or adapted the PEEP Learning Together programme to meet the needs of their communities. They focused on the following areas:
- Nuzhat Abbas (Oxford) - 'The challenges of delivering culturally sensitive support through PEEP Learning Together'
- Ruth Allen (Cannock Chase) - 'Valuing Dads in PEEP groups'
- Lisa Clisset (Peterborough) - 'It must be your turn to do story'
- Katy Baker (Hampshire) - 'The impact of attitudes toward numeracy on learning dispositions'.
The assignments are at both undergraduate and masters levels, and are accredited by Oxford Brookes University. They all relate to an aspect of PEEP delivery that the practitioner has been engaged in. Further information about PEEP accreditation can be found by clicking here. |
