What is PEEP Practitioner Registration?
It's a simple, practical way to demonstrate, and receive recognition for, the standard of your PEEP work.  In January 2006 it became an integral part of PEEP for Practitioners training.  It provides on-going support and development of your PEEP work.
You can choose between:
- PEEP Registration
- PEEP Registration with Accreditation (from Oxford Brookes University, with CAT points)

Why should I register?
It will:

  • add to your Continuing Professional Development
  • give you access to the login Practitioner Area of the PEEP website.  Here you will find discussion forums, useful documents, session plans and news about PEEP developments elsewhere.
  • facilitate the sharing of ideas and support with other practitioners, giving you access to local networks
  • support and develop your normal reflective practice (rather than create a lot of additional work)
  • help ensure the quality of PEEP work around the UK.

What would I have to do to become a Registered PEEP Practitioner?
(PEEP will supply all relevant guidelines and forms - if you have already done PEEP training you can download these forms from the log-in area of the website.)

  1. Two-day PEEP for Practitioners training course.
  2. As soon as you've trained you can sign up to the Practitioner Area on the PEEP website.  Here you'll find information to support your registration.
  3. Work with your organisation to develop PEEP work.  You will need to do at least 30 hours of PEEP delivery (eg home visits, group, open access sessions) using the programme and core activities.
  4. Start building a portfolio, based on your planning and reflection documents. You are encouraged to use or adapt PEEP session plans and review forms.
  5. When you feel confident, arrange to be observed by your line manager or a co-worker.  The observer should have some knowledge of the PEEP Learning Together Programme and its approach to work with families.
  6. Return your portfolio to us for assessment.

When would I do it?
You can sign-up for registration on the 'Practitioner Area Sign-up' web-page as soon as you have trained.  You can update your details (including delivery and registration plans) at any time by logging in then clicking on 'Edit Details'.
You would have up to a year to complete your portfolio, during (and after) which time you would have access to the login area of the website.

What if I’m interested but don’t do enough direct PEEP work to qualify?

If you are not a PEEP practitioner but are still involved in some way (eg you support a PEEP group or you line manage a PEEP practitioner) you could become an affiliated PEEP member.  This would give you access to the login area of the website, including forums.

How much will it cost?
2-day Training & Registration: £330
1-day Training & Registration with university-accreditation: £350 (includes tutor support and university costs)

Annual Renewal: Individual £10  or  Organisation £50
