Who is the training for?
This 2 day course is for you if you are going to be involved in delivering or supporting PEEP work in your area. Professionals and practitioners who have previously attended the course include family learning and family support workers, nursery nurses, preschool and nursery teachers, health visitors and midwives, speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, librarians and many other early years workers.
Where does it happen?
Regular events take place in Oxford. We can come to your area if you have 12-16 people that you would like to be trained. Please contact us for further details.
What’s included?
During the 2 days you will have opportunities to explore PEEP principles, materials and practices. Using a range of activities you will learn about:
- the PEEP curriculum in the Learning Together series and links to other frameworks (eg Every Child Matters)
- strategies for working with parents/ carers and children together in groups, homes and other settings
- supporting the OCN accreditation for parents
- using resources in PEEP
Throughout the 2 days we will support you in looking at ways in which PEEP can be used in your work with families. A comprehensive practitioner's handbook accompanies the course.
What is Practitioner Registration?
Registration provides on-going support and development for your PEEP work. You can choose between Registration, and Registration with Accreditation (from Oxford Brookes University, with CATS points). Further details can be found via the 'Practitioner Registration' link opposite.
How much does it cost?
PEEP for Practitioners 2-day Training and Registration (per person, incl VAT): £320
PEEP for Practitioners Extended Training and Registration with university-accreditation (per person, incl third day's training, tutor support, university costs and VAT): £350

In Oxford this includes lunch and refreshments. If we come to you we cover our travel and accommodation costs and ask you to provide the venue and catering.
