PEEP plus groups are designed for families who have particular needs in common. This sort of work is often referred to as 'targeted', though PEEP refers to it as specialised applications of the PEEP programme.

Specialised applications are based on the PEEP principles and programme, but these are adapted or added to as appropriate. Some have been developed and used at the PEEP Centre in Oxford. Others were developed elsewhere in the UK, to suit the local context. The specialised applications are being written up in a standard way so that they can be easily used or adapted by other PEEP practitioners.
